Updated: Feb 10, 2023, 12:35 Nintendo The upcoming Pikmin 4 has been confirmed to have multiplayer features, though what kind is yet to be seen. While there is no actual multiplayer announced at the moment, you will be able to share scores online for modes like Story / Mission Mode. It could also be for some kind of mini-game that hasn't been revealed yet. It could be for a co-op mode, considering the multiple characters involved with the title. It doesn't explain how, but it implies a multiplayer component of some sort. If you were hoping to play through the story mode with a friend, you'll need to be at the same location. The official Nintendo Switch eShop description lists 'Pikmin 4' as a game for 1 to 2 players. While it did seem intially like there would be some kind of online multiplayer included with this version, the official site confirmed that multiplayer is limited to local (single console) multiplayer only. it's probably too soon to say, but it maybe seems like 4 will be a bit more open-ended and less focused on rushing to each of the big cutscenes and bosses, which will be an automatic improvement for me.Is There Online Co Op?
