This should not be an issue if the FortiGate interface configuration (NAT / Route mode) is properly configured. Computer Management on Windows allows you to view the logs of your VPN client. The log file can be found in its location. Log into your account and report on VPN events as they arise. By selecting System Settings > Events Log, you can access the local logging list.

To view the details of an event, click on the event log. Logging VPN events, for example, is done to protect the user’s privacy. The results will be displayed in a table, with the most recent events at the top. From there, you can select the type of event (IKE, IPsec, or both), the VPN gateway, and the time period. In the web interface, go to Log & Report > VPN Events. If you have a Fortigate, you can easily check your IPsec VPN logs.
